CFK congratulates Chávez for ‘outstanding’ elections

President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner congratulated her Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías after yesterday's legislative elections in the Caribbean country, through Twitter. 

"Congratulations to you and the Venezuelan people for the excellent election you had," Fernández de Kirchner wrote on her Twitter.

Likewise, the Argentine Head of State, informed Chávez that tomorrow she will be taking oath as the new head of the G77+China group in a ceremony that embraces her with "proud and responsibility."

Fernández de Kirchner also assured on her Twitter profile to have read Hernán Brienza's "El loco Dorrego" (Crazy Dorrego) during the past weekend.

"Did you know that Argentine patriot Manuel Dorrego was the first Bolivarian of our country?" Fernández de Kirchner asked Chávez and added, "We have a bust and a portrait of him at the presidential office. He (Dorrego) was pure courage, pure patriotism. He was a man of national and popular formation, and a true defender of Americanism. He was executed at the age of 41."
